Everyone you meet is important to someone. Each person you meet has someone in their lives that makes them feel important. Many of the people you meet, may have just found that right person that they wish to spend the rest of their lives with. Or others may have just received the news that they are to become a new parent or grandparent. What is most important to remember, is that every one of us is important to someone else.
Each of us have experienced joy and sadness, good times and bad, times when we had enough money to live on, and times we did not. We all have experienced the death of a loved one, or friend. We all have had times where we are just barely holding on, and at other times we may have all felt the bitter sting of defeat. It is a bitter herb to be sure, but we have all had a time when we have experienced it.
We all have had times in our lives that we wished we could forget, and other times where we wished it would continue forever.
And then, some of us have had times that were exceptionally difficult. Times when there seemed to be no joy. No matter how hard we tried, nothing seemed to go right. It is in these times that we looked towards those whose life is better because of us. We turn to where we know we are loved and cared for no matter the circumstance. Yet for some of us, these people seem to be far away, too busy, so we suffer through these times, thinking we are alone, but, we are never truly alone.
As I said, we are all important to someone else. So when we look at each other try to imagine that person as a mother or father, a son or daughter, an aunt or an uncle, a grandmother and grandfather. The point is, in someone’s life, each of us is important in someone’s life. We are their world. In someone’s life we are needed, we are appreciated, and we are loved.
Even when you think you are not one of these people, consider this; your life is important, you are the world to someone, you are loved and cared for by someone, someone who will always love you, and always be ready for you with an out stretched hand, waiting for you take hold, who am I? He is the best big brother anyone can ask for. In His life, we all are important. We all matter, and we are all part of His family. We are all loved by Him and we are all welcome at His table. Jesus is with us always, He is near us always, and without condition, He will always love us… take time this week to look at other people and realize that they are important in someone else’s life, and that like you, they are also important in Jesus’ life too.
