As we move closer to Easter, have we spent enough time for reflection in this Lenten season? Have we by this reflection opened our minds and our hearts to accept the risen Christ? Lent should be a time of thinking, and soul searching, have we lived up to Christ's commandment to love each other? Or have we not looked beyond the walls of our churches, outside of our comfort zone, outside of our repetitive thinking of what makes a Christian?
Christ charges us to love, and to be loved, to understand that the Father loved us and sent him to us, and that like him we must take up our cross and show the same love and devotion to others. Christ showed us the way to the kingdom, it is up to us now to follow that path, of love, tolerance and understanding, that we may find eternal rest in the garden with our Lord Jesus. May the peace of the risen Lord be with you always pastor Lisa
